Your brain goes numb for a second, and when you finally get your mind cleared you find you have typed this phrase into Google:

2. You will most likely at some point be disappointed at the level of customer service

Forget about comparing pricing structures

If you compare most of the big players in the web hosting field you will find that they offer pretty much the exact same pricing structure and offer the exact same services. Realisticly if you are looking for basic hosting for a simple website you shouldn’t pay any more than $8 per month.

Consider the ‘want it now factor’

What a lot of people do not realize when they sign up for web hosting is that it will quite often take a few hours for your web space to be ready and accessible for you. Look for a host that offers ‘instant setup.’ Although this isn’t really instant and usually takes 15 minutes to setup, but it is much better than a few hours.

Look for Promos and Specials

Web Hosting is a huge market, and as such the hosting companies should fight for your business. Look for hosting companies that offer some kind of incentive for your to sign up like monthly discounts or bonuses such as AdWords credits.

In the end you should pick a host that meets all of the criteria mentioned above. They are out there, just don’t spend too much time reading through reviews of the web hosting companies as you are better off to spend your time actually setting up your website.
