Don’t Go For Cheap Web Hosting. It Will Cost You More In The End
Posted November 13th, 2008
When you have a business, do go cheap on investing for your web hosting. Get a credible one. It doesn’t need to be pricey, but choose the market rate priced hosting packages.
Mark my word, opting for the lowest and cheapest hosting could mean more trouble for you from my past experience.
Yes the cheap hosting will cover the basics and get your site up and running, but I truly believe it lacks in many areas.
For one, such web hosting company, to make up for the low price, they will get as many clients as possible and put all the website into one server.
Such shared hosting is in dire problem if should any one of the many website is using more than usual CPU load usage. When that happens, the server goes offline and all the websites are affected.
I’m not surprise if the main culprit are spammers who uses plenty of cron jobs that uses plenty of bandwidth and server CPU load.
Most spammers are attracted to such servers and its the entry price to signup is low. Once their job is done, they make a run for it, and look for another new cheap web hosting, while you’re stuck with a long downtime.
Also such cheap hosting are associated with bad online support. Well what do you expect. At such low prices, they won’t have enough staff around the clock to go over the ticket support.
It will take at least a few days from my past experience. As you wait in restlessness and annoyance, you’ll have this crappy feeling of not being able to do anything.
So there you go, some of my experience when I signed up to cheap web hosting previously. Learn from my experience and get a reliable web hosting.
